Raspberry Leaves
For help at foaling

The leaves of the raspberry plant (Rubus idaeus) are picked throughout the growing season then air dried and gently chopped for ease of feeding. Historically, raspberry leaves have been fed to mares to support the uterine muscles during and after pregnancy. They can be fed during the last two months of pregnancy and for two weeks after foaling, and are rich in folic acid.
