Seaweed Rich in organic minerals
Seaweed (Fucus vesiculosus) is also known by a variety of names such as kelp, bladderwrack, black tang and cut weed. The main stem of this sea plant is harvested from the rocks off shore on the northern Atlantic coast and the Baltic coast of the Mediterranean. Seaweed is rinsed and then gently dried in the sun soon after being picked and chopped for ease of feeding. Seaweed provides a rich source of bio-available minerals, especially iodine, and has traditionally been used for thyroid support. Similarly, it has also been used to help strengthen the body of convalescing large animals.
