Nutrition Information

Slippery Elm (Ulmus rubra) bark is rich in mucilage, which becomes a gel when it comes in contact with liquids. This helps to coat and line the gastrointestinal tract. It also helps to promote a healthy balance of bacteria within the hindgut. Slippery Elm is useful for those with urinary issues, and can be used externally as a poultice.
