I have been using Barefoot formula for my ponies ( one is over 40 years old) for about 8 months. I started to use it as the weather over the last few years ( as anyone with horses in their life will have experienced) has not been conducive to good hoof health. I have definitely noticed an improvement, but more importantly my equine podiatrist has noticed too. I am very happy...and I think my ponies are too.

Started our 18 year old Welsh sec A on barefoot formula, because his hooves where chipping and cracking on our track system, he’s been on it just under a year and from month one we definitely noticed a large improvement, he’s got beautiful feet which are strong and healthy, he still careers around as if he’s 4 but his feet aren’t suffering anymore, would definitely recommend, he’s a greasy but fussy eater but he loves it!

I've been using barefoot formula for 9 months and it's made a big difference to my boys feet. They're much stronger and hardly chip at all now. Others have commented on the change in my boys feet and credited it to this supplement. I'd definitely recommend.

Nutrition Information

Many people choose to keep their horses barefoot rather than shod. To be able to do this effectively and allow the horse to be ridden over a variety of surfaces, the diet must provide the horse with all the nutrients that they need to keep hooves hard and healthy. If you choose not to feed synthetically made vitamins and minerals this can be more difficult, but Feedmark have a 100% natural supplement to help keep your barefoot horse sound.

Barefoot Formula™ is a combination of Seaweed, Rosehips, Brewer’s yeast, Micronised linseed and Magnesium oxide, which contain essential vitamins, minerals, oils and amino acids necessary for healthy hoof horn growth.

Feeding Guide

Weight of Horse/Pony	Amount per day
Up to 250kg	¾ scoop
250kg - 400kg	1 ½ scoops
400kg - 600kg	2 ½ scoops
Over 600kg	3 ½ scoops

1 level (150ml) scoop of Barefoot Formula™ weighs approximately 86g

It takes approximately 8-12 months for hoof horn to grow from the coronary band to the weight-bearing surface. Feed Barefoot Formula™continuously to support good hoof horn growth.

Feed supplements should be fed according to body weight. Introduce to the horse's diet gradually, splitting between feeds (when applicable).

Unsuitable for pregnant or lactating mares due to the potentially high Iodine content of Seaweed.
