Marshmallow Root (Althaea officinalis) is a demulcent herb that has mucilaginous properties to provide a soothing coating for the horse's stomach and intestinal tract, as well as support the respiratory system.

The sticky substance forms a gel-like layer over mucous membranes from the respiratory tract right the way through the digestive tract. Marshmallow Root is ideal not only to settle respiratory issues but also for gastric and hindgut discomfort and disorders.

only just started to use this but my old boy has stopped coughing i no longer soak his hay. so i will order again. fingers crossed it keeps on working.

It’s still early days of using this new supplement but my mare is definitely less cross when I do her girth up, her cough is starting to lessen too. Will continue with this for the foreseeable. The delivery of this was also super quick.

I’ve been using marshmallow root for my 19 year
Old gelding who was exhibiting signs of colic. He’s not good with the vet so wasn’t scoped.
Since he’s
been on Marshmallow root he looks more comfortable and doesn’t kick out anymore.
It’s economical to use but most importantly it is effective
