Started my mare on the supplement in her last three months of pregnancy. Very palatable and kept her in excellent condition. Once our foal was born, the health checks/bloods came back as excellent. Our filly is now 4 months old, and both of them are still having the supplement. Excellent product

I have over the years used many feed supplements but Feedmarks Benefit is one of the best on the market, therefore I decided to try the Mare and Youngstock supplement just before christmas 2023 and it was amazing, the condition it put on my mares and both of my mares foaled very easily and this years foals are much bigger and have grown better than the foals before, that I put down to having the Mare and Youngstock supplement, I am going to keep using it without question

When my mare had a surprise foal, I phoned Feedmark’s nutritionist for feeding advice.  She was really helpful and suggested Mare &Youngstock. Both mother and baby are doing really well on it and I feel this supplement is giving the foal a great start.

Started my mare on this in March, in her last 3 months of pregnancy. Our filly foal arrived on 27 May, extremely healthy and a textbook foaling. Both mare and foal are still enjoying this supplement in their evening feed, and we will keep the foal on it after weaning. Its excellent value and very palatable. Been a customer of Feedmark for over 25 years now

She has been on this since the start of her last trimester and is very nearly due. Huge peace of mind that her and her foal are getting what they need without the extra calories. Very palatable in the feed and she is in fantastic condition for foaling

All our mares have had high colostrum which sets their foals up for the future.  We have used it for several years and will cut back other things but not this supplement.

Nutrition Information

Mare & Youngstock™ provides nutrients tailored to the increased requirements of mares in the last three months of pregnancy and throughout lactation, and for youngstock from weaning until they are 18 months old (NRC, 2007). In many cases there are distinct advantages to feeding a nutrient dense supplement rather than traditional stud feeds, the most obvious being helping good doers to maintain a healthy weight during pregnancy, which can help to ensure a healthy birth and avoid excessive joint strain in mares and foals. Mare & Youngstock™ provides 24 essential vitamins and minerals in quantities that meet the recommended NRC (2007) requirements of breeding stock when fed a pasture and forage-based diet. Copper, Zinc and Manganese are included in chelated form to enhance mineral absoprtion and reduce negative interactions with other nutrients. Lysine, the first limiting amino acid, is also supplied to ensure optimum utilisation of the quality protein in Soya meal. The probiotic live yeast, Yea-Sacc®, is also included which is beneficial for young horses who often need support to build up a healthy population of microflora in the hindgut, as well as helping to ensure efficient digestion in mares. Mint and Peppermint powder are added as digestive tract soothers, and also to help stimulate appetite, which is especially useful when mares are near the end of their pregnancy. Rosehips provide joint support and antioxidants that help to neutralise free radicals.

Aligning to nutritional recommendations that forage should form the greatest portion of the equine diet, and to the common practice of managing broodmares and youngstock at grass, Mare & Youngstock™ has been developed to balance a diet of grass and hay.

Mare & Youngstock™ should be fed to mares in the last three months of pregnancy and throughout lactation, and to youngstock from weaning to 18 months old. Feed supplements should be fed according to body weight. Introduce to the horse's diet gradually, splitting between feeds (when applicable).

Mare & Youngstock™ is a complementary feeding stuff for equine animals. Feedmark uses nothing in the formulation of this product that contravenes competition rules.
