Really impressed with how it helps my horses breathing. I’d run out for a couple of days and noticed his cough was really bad again. I must say I was sceptical but after the gap without it, it obviously was working especially in this dry spell we’re having!

Still early days atm but believe this is helping my mare who struggles with allergies. No issues with getting her to eat it, she licks the bowl clean.

As she is a fussy eater  I was worried she wouldn't eat it. No problem there. Early days, but need a bit longer to see full results.

Clarity supplement has really helped my horse.
Hot weather , pollen and dusty hay always seems to cause a change in his airway health.
Clarity has reduced his coughing and irritation so much.
My horse is a fussy eater but I have had no issues with him eating his morning and evening feeds.
Great product..

My 28 year old pony has asthma, aggravated by pollen. To be honest, I didn't think Clarity would make any difference, but I'd tried lots of other things so thought it was worth a try.
What a difference! Summer 2024 was good but I kept him on it all winter and he is so much better this summer - even when the pollen count is really high.
No problem getting him to eat it either (or my other retiree, who gets a wee bit just because it smells so lovely).

Seems to keep any respiratory problems away and horses love the taste.

It stopped me coughing in my stable...and in my field, now there is so much dust about!  A great relief to me and to my human!!

The Horse’s Respiratory System:

Horses are natural athletes with a staggering ability to take in oxygen and deliver it via the lungs to working muscles. Effective delivery of oxygen is paramount to all levels of performance, but airway function can be compromised due to dust, pollen or other environmental particles that become trapped in the mucosal lining of the respiratory tract, triggering an inflammatory response.

The horse's airways are highly specialised to ensure efficient function and to protect them from environmental irritants. Their defences include a lining of tiny hair-like cilia and a thin layer of mucus which traps particles and stops them from travelling deep into the lungs, and specialised cells called macrophages which engulf tiny particles that have made it right down into the alveoli, deep within the lungs.

How Clarity® Supports Your Horse’s Respiratory Health:

Key benefits:

- Supports clear breathing in dusty or high-pollen environments

- Maintains the horse’s natural mucosal defences

- Acts as a natural expectorant to expel trapped particles

- Provides antioxidant protection against respiratory inflammation

- Helps maintain healthy airways for optimal performance

Clarity® is an equine respiratory supplement, formulated by Nutritionists, that helps to maintain your horse’s normal respiratory function and natural defences against environmental particles.

This herbal formulation acts as a natural expectorant, meaning it removes immune-triggering particles from the airways by aiding the removal of mucous.

Clarity® also contains antioxidants which, alongside immunomodulatory effects, help maintain optimum air flow through the trachea down to the bronchioles and alveoli. The high levels of the antioxidants quercetin, anthocyanins and flavonoids also support the clearance of free radicals to aid in regulation of the immune system and inflammatory response.

Oregano and lemon peel further support maintenance of clear airways, while thyme, elderflower and coltsfoot help soothe the respiratory tract.

This comprehensive respiratory supplement helps horses to maintain a healthy respiratory tract, even when facing environmental challenges such as dust, pollen, or seasonal allergens - factors which can contribute to coughing, sneezing, headshaking, and breathing difficulties.

We recommend that you follow stable management protocols to keep stabling as dust-free and well-ventilated as possible and feed Clarity® daily to support optimum respiratory health.

My horse head shakes and rubs his nose on his leg while hacking especially in the summer months, could Clarity® prevent this?

These actions are commonly due to irritation by pollen particles. Clarity® helps to expel these foreign particles and can help to soothe the respiratory tract, so if your horse is sensitive to pollen we definitely recommend trying Clarity®.

My horse is sensitive to dust - what can I do to help him?

If your horse has problems with a dusty environment there are several management techniques that can help:

  • Keep your horse out as much as possible.
  • Ensure that stables are well-ventilated.
  • Use dust-reduced bedding such as dust extracted shavings or pellets
  • Feed steamed or soaked hay, or haylage to reduce the dust in the stable environment.
  • Feed Clarity® to support your horse's natural defences against dust particles, and to expel any that enter their respiratory tract.

I’ve just started my horse on Clarity® and I’ve noticed an increase in mucus – is this normal?

Yes, this is actually a good thing! The herbs in Clarity® work as expectorants, meaning they remove excess mucus from your horse’s respiratory tract. This usually subsides after a few days.

Do I need to feed a loading rate of Clarity®?

No, we believe that any changes to your horse’s diet should be made gradually for optimal digestive health. Therefore, slowly introduce Clarity® to your horse’s feed until you reach the recommended feeding rate that is outlined on the back of the tub, or on the website.

How long do I need to feed Clarity®?

It is often the case that horses with existing respiratory problems need year-round management and support. However, if your horse only experiences symptoms in summer, or vice versa, in winter, you can feed during these times.
