Nutrition Information

Ascophyllum Nodosum seaweed provides a rich source of bioavailable minerals, especially Iodine, and has traditionally been used for thyroid support. Seaweed is fed to horses and ponies with cresty necks, and can aid normal fat distribution.  It is also beneficial for the hooves, and is fed by many owners who follow barefoot principals.

Not suitable for pregnant mares

Feeding Guide

Up to 400kg/880lb Under 14hh ½ scoop
Over 400kg/800lb Over 14hh ¾ scoop
1 level (50ml) scoop of Seaweed weighs approximately 40g/1.4oz.

Do not give to pregnant or lactating mares due to the high levels of iodine in this herb.


Feed supplements should be fed according to body weight; height has been given as a guide. Introduce to the horse's diet gradually, splitting between feeds (when applicable).

Seaweed is a complementary feeding stuff for equine animals.  Feedmark uses nothing in the formulation of this product that contravenes competition rules.
