Tried these today for the first time. There was a shoot in the field beside our horses and my mare always gets very stressed with all the goings on. She did seem a touch less stressed today after giving her a handful of these. Will see how she is next time ( already using Steady Up)

Steady up is brilliant for keeping spooky horses calm. Have always used this and find it helpful when away from home where everything is strange and apparently very scary!!

Have only just started using this…..so probably a little early to see any results. It’s very palatable though as my mare just gobbles it up!

been using this for my horse that just takes the edge off him so hes calm when out in new situations.  Hes been on it or about 8 years now and would not be without it.  Tried other ones before and this one is the best i can recommend.

My horse stopped eating it after about a week, so no feedback as to it’s effect sadly
However I am a big fan of Feedmark products being free from unnecessary fillers

Calming Treats

As a suggestion, give 6 - 10 Calming Treats 30-45 minutes before stressful or exciting situations, although you can feed double this amount if required. The number of treats required for your individual horse or pony will vary so trialling may be necessary to provide their ideal level of support.

Calming Treats are safe to be fed long term and can be fed every day.

For optimum support during times of stress give Calming Treats alongside our daily supplement Steady-Up®.

Steady-Up®

Nutrition Information:

One of Feedmark’s flagship products, our popular and effective horse calmer Steady-Up® has been used for years by horse owners wanting to help their horse to relax and focus. It contains two forms of Magnesium, to aid absorption, as it is well known that a deficiency in Magnesium can lead to stressy, difficult behaviour. Another key ingredient is Brewer’s Yeast, a multi-functional ingredient, which contains naturally occurring B vitamins, to optimise correct nerve impulses and function, and amino acids, including Tryptophan. Tryptophan is used by the body to make Serotonin, a chemical messenger which is thought to stabilise mood. In addition to this, Brewer’s Yeast is a prebiotic, supporting the bacteria in the hindgut, helping to keep your horse happy and healthy. To ensure B vitamin levels are adequate, additional B vitamin complex is also added. On top of this, traditional herbal ingredients Chamomile and Lemon Balm encourage calm behaviour, working together to relax and calm your horse. Steady-Up® does not contain synthetic sedatives and can be fed long term to make riding and handling your horse an enjoyable experience.

Calming Treats

Nutrition Information:

Designed to complement Feedmark's flagship product, Steady-Up®, Calming Treats have been developed to provide horse owners with additional support in helping their horses to relax and focus during times of need. Calming Treats are made from all natural ingredients such as Brewer's yeast, Lemon balm and Chamomile, which are known for their calming and soothing effects. Ginseng and L-Tyrosine are also included for their effect on brain and neurotransmitter function. B vitamins and Brewer's yeast work together to support digestive function which is particularly beneficial during times of stress.

Ginseng is an adaptogen which means it can help the horse's body manage stress by supporting the nervous system.

Both Lemon balm and Chamomile guard against oxidative damage and so reduce the rate of oxidative stress in horses. Lemon balm is also known to have neurological benefits whilst Chamomile is well known for its soothing properties that can help to relax muscles and nerves through its antispasmodic activity. Chamomile naturally contains a nutrient called apigenin which has a positive influence on anxiety.

Brewer's yeast contains high levels of B vitamins, including B1 (Thiamine), which is known for its calming properties.

Calming Treats are suitable for all types of horses and ponies that need additional support during times of stress and anxiety.
