Have used this product on and off for a lot of years, but have used it more recently, due to the excellent offers they have on. Love the fact they have refill bags, stops the amount of empty tubs you end up with.

Nutrition Information

Benevit™ has been developed using the latest knowledge of the horse’s nutritional requirements and the nutrient content of common feeds. Due to the unique nutrient profiles of different feeds, providing a balanced diet that meets all of your horse’s nutritional requirements can be challenging. Adding to this challenge is the need to provide nutrients in correct ratios to optimise their absorption and reduce their impact on the absorption and utilisation of other nutrients. For example, feeding excessive amounts of Zinc can reduce Copper and Phosphorus absorption, whilst excessive Iron intakes reduce the absorption of Zinc. Benevit™ has taken the guess work out of balancing your horse’s diet by providing vitamins and minerals at levels and ratios that complement the feeding of forages, the foodstuff that all horse’s diets should be based on. This balanced vitamin and mineral supply avoids the over or under feeding of these vital nutrients which can compromise performance and health.

Benevit™ goes even further by using chelation technology. Chelation is the binding of minerals (which are classed nutritionally as metals) to another molecule for the purpose of increasing the minerals absorption and stability within the gastrointestinal tract. Chelation of Copper, Zinc and Manganese with the amino acid Glycine within Benevit results in these minerals being more easily absorbed and prevents them from binding with other nutrients. As such, you can be sure you are maximising nutrient utilisation in your horse.

We also understand that most horses with access to pasture (fresh and preserved), and more specifically with access to soil, are able to meet their Iron requirements from these sources, leading to Benevit being free from any added Iron as supplementary sources are unnecessary for most horses. Benevit™ is also cereal grain free, instead containing micronised Linseed that provides a high-fat, low starch and sugar energy source. Linseed also provides essential fatty acids (Omega-3 and Omega-6) in the correct ratios that support optimum health, particularly of the skin, hair and hooves. Your horse’s wellbeing is also supported by the addition of Beetroot powder which has antioxidant properties that help to neutralise free radicals and aid blood flow.

The flexible feeding rates of Benevit™ make it ideal for feeding to all horses, from those with no exercise demands to those performing hard work.

Aligning to nutritional recommendations that forage should form the greatest portion of the equine diet, Benevit™ has been developed to balance a diet with a minimum of 80% forage for horses at maintenance / light work, and a minimum of 65% forage for those in heavy work.

Feed supplements should be fed according to body weight. Introduce to the horse's diet gradually, splitting between feeds (when applicable).

Benevit™ is a complementary feeding stuff for equine animals. Feedmark uses nothing in the formulation of this product that contravenes competition rules.
