At what level do you compete?

I compete from novice with the youngsters, up to international small tour.

Tell us about your horses?

Inanda - 2003 16.3hh KWPN Rock Forever x Olivi mare. She was national & reserve international 6 year old Hickstead champion 2019. She’s currently competing Advanced Medium and I’m hoping to have her out Prix St Georges next year. She’s a really smart horse and I’m super excited about her!

Kapri - 2015 16.3hh KWPN Dreamboy x Don Graphit gelding. He’s not done loads of competing but out regularly scoring 70%+ and has done really well in 4 & 5 year old classes. He’s destined for Grand Prix and finds everything so easy. I think he’ll come into his own when he’s a bit older but he has a bright future ahead of him!

Perugia - 2010 16.1hh Polish Warmblood. She’s my first horse I’ve trained to Grand Prix and we are currently competing Intermediate 1. I’ve had her since a 5 year old and she’s my first horse I’ve trained from the bottom to the top! She’s my pocket rocket!

Rio - 2001 15.3hh Dimaggio Hanoverian gelding owned by Ellie McCarthy. He’s a true legend - having competed at 6 European Championships and taken 4 separate riders internationally I’m exceptionally grateful to have the ride on this amazing horse. He’s 19 going on 4! He loves competing still and isn’t ready to retire yet.

Eddie - 2016 17.2hh Hennessy x Blue Hors Zack  KWPN gelding. I’ve owned him since he was 6 months old and he is genuinely the sweetest and giving horse I’ve come across. He’s currently based with my trainer as he’s grown far too big for me! I’m only 5’1!

I also have a couple of babies waiting in the wings for their time to shine, and a New Forest Pony and her best friend Cookie.

Why do you choose Feedmark supplements for your horses?

I’ve been using Feedmark supplements for almost 10 years now, having been recommended ‘Hormonease’ for my very stroppy and now retired New Forest Pony! I love how cost effective Feedmark is to feed and that you can buy refill packets in recyclable bags rather than buying a new tub every time. I’m massively into being more eco friendly! I’ve used a huge range of Feedmark's supplements and have found every single one of them has done the job perfectly.

When did you first start riding?

When I was 7 years old I started having riding school lessons, and when I was thirteen my Nan gifted me ‘Flora’ (said stroppy pony mentioned above!) whom she bred. She is happily retired now at the yard with her best friend Cookie the Shetland!

What is involved with an average day in your life?

6:30 - wake up, feed dog and drive to work

7:30 - arrive at work, cup of tea and breakfast

8:00 - onboard first horse

12:00 - finish riding and have lunch

13:00 - teach all afternoon!

What is next for you, do you have a particular goal in mind?

I’d love to do my first Grand Prix next year with Perugia, and compete internationally with Inanda at small tour!
